If you’re ready to send out your mauscript to agents and/or publishers (well done!), a submission package assessment can help ensure that what you have to offer will make a strong impression, draw attention to what really matters and omit off-putting mistakes.

Literary agents receive thousands of submissions every year, from which they will take on only a handful. The odds may seem long, but a polished, professional, well-tailored submission stands out a mile from most of the rest, greatly increasing your chances.
For a submission package assessment, you’ll receive detailed feedback on your cover letter, synopsis and first 5000 words, with a follow-up video meeting to ask questions and go into more detail. Feedback on non-fiction proposals packages is also available.
As a former literary agent, our co-director Jonathan Ruppin has considered countless book submissions – as well as writing winning pitches himself to publishers for the authors he has represented – and knows what makes a good one: what to include and what to omit, what catches the eye and what makes an agent stop reading.
He’s given presentations on how a top-notch submission package for literary festivals, writing retreats, Creative Writing MA classes, and organisations including the Guardian and Creative Future, and one-to one feedback the Natioal Crearive Writing Industry Day, the Bloosmbury Institute and Byte the Book.
